Current certification in specialty will meet requirements for 30 continuing education hours for RN licensure. 400 hours active in practice specialty in the 4 years immediately preceding date of application. If you are a newly graduated APRN within the last 2 years, program coursework and clinical count for first renewal.

Special Requirements

For licensees with an active DEA #for prescribing in New Hampshire 3 of the 5 pharmacology hours must address opioid prescribing, pain management, or substance abuse disorder.

Licenses will expire two years from the date of issuance, on the last day of the month in the month the license was issued. Athletic trainers must maintain current Board of Certification For Athletic Trainers (BOC) certification to renew. To retain certification, ATC credential holders must obtain 75 hours of medically related continuing education credits every three years and adhere to a code of ethics.

BOC requires Athletic Trainers to complete 50 CEUs within the 2-year reporting period.

New Hampshire CCI Credentialed Specialists

A credential is active for 9-12 months after passing a CCI exam. For the first renewal, CCI credential holders must submit the renewal fee and a signature of compliance with the Code of Ethics.

There are no Continuing Education Unit (CEU) requirements for the first renewal.

Following the first renewal, maintenance of an “active status” for CCI credential holders requires the completion of the following three steps every three years, on the anniversary of the first renewal date:

The submission of renewal fees.
Signature of compliance with the CCI Code of Ethics.
The completion of Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
- Certificate-Level (CCT and CRAT): sixteen (16) CEUs.
- Advanced-Level (ACS): thirty-six (36) CEUs.
- Registry-Level (RCES, RCIS, RCS, RCCS, RPhS, and RVS): thirty-six (36) CEUs.

Advanced and registry-level credential holders must complete thirty (30) cardiovascular-related CEUs. The remaining 6 or fewer CEUs can be on any topic.

Special Requirements

Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS):

Thirty-six (36) contact hours of continuing education every three years for licensure renewal.
Thirty (30) cardiovascular-related CEUs.
The remaining six (6) or fewer CEUs can be on any topic.

Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT):

Sixteen (16) contact hours of continuing education every three years for licensure renewal.

Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT):

Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS):

Thirty-six (36) contact hours of continuing education every three years for licensure renewal.
Thirty (30) cardiovascular-related CEUs.

Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES):
