RNs shall earn thirty (30) contact hours of continuing education every two years for licensure renewal.
30 hours for RN licensure, 30 additional hours with at least 20 hours specific to the area of advanced practice specialization, 5 of which must be related to pharmacology. Current certification in specialty will meet requirements for 30 continuing education hours for RN licensure. 400 hours active in practice specialty in the 4 years immediately preceding date of application. If you are a newly graduated APRN within the last 2 years, program coursework and clinical count for first renewal.
LPNs shall earn thirty (30) contact hours of continuing education every two years for licensure renewal.
