Course Description:
This course discusses risk factors, diagnosis, treatment, and caring for a pregnant patient with both gestational diabetes and pregestational diabetes.
Outcomes
≥ 92% of participants will know how to care for a pregnant patient with diabetes.
Objectives
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
- Identify the difference between gestational diabetes and pregestational diabetes.
- List the risk factors for developing gestational diabetes.
- Describe the treatment for gestational diabetes.
- Determine the complications of diabetes during pregnancy.
- Plan the care for a woman with diabetes in labor and delivery.
