Course Description:
This course aims to provide an overview of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer. The course will discuss the signs and symptoms, workup, and treatments for each respective disease process.
Outcomes:
≥ 92% of participants will know how to differentiate between BPH and prostate cancer.
Objectives:
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
- List the common symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
- Describe the workup for BPH.
- Compare and contrast the medical and surgical treatment options for BPH.
- Determine the screening for prostate cancer.
- Explain the diagnostic workup for prostate cancer.
- Review treatment options for prostate cancer.
