Course Description:
This course discusses practical, evidence-based knowledge to assess, diagnose, and manage common dermatologic conditions affecting patients across all ages. Topics include lesion assessment and classification, pediatric conditions (e.g., diaper dermatitis, impetigo), adult presentations (e.g., acne, psoriasis, cellulitis), and geriatric concerns (e.g., actinic keratosis, shingles). Case studies and clinical scenarios are used to enhance diagnostic skills, treatment planning, and patient education.
Outcomes:
≥ 92% of participants will know how to recognize and manage common skin conditions.
Objectives:
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
- Distinguish between skin conditions affecting different populations (pediatric and adult patients).
- Describe the clinical features of common dermatologic disorders.
- Summarize the diagnostic characteristics of common dermatologic disorders.
- Outline evidence-based treatment strategies for common skin conditions.
- Identify potential complications or comorbid conditions related to dermatologic disorders.
