Course Description:
This course discusses ICU psychosis, the signs and symptoms of the disorder, the conditions that may predispose the patient to the disorder, the treatment for the disorder, and the long-term consequences.
Outcomes:
≥ 92% of participants will know how to identify ICU psychosis, including how to treat it and take it seriously.
Objectives:
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
- Define ICU psychosis.
- Determine contributing factors in developing ICU psychosis.
- Summarize the signs and symptoms of ICU psychosis.
- Identify treatments used in the management of ICU psychosis.
- Explain long-term implications for the patient with ICU psychosis.
