Course Description:
This course discusses medical record documentation and practicing within the CNA scope of practice.
Course Outcome:
≥ 92% of nurses licensed in Texas will know how to practice within the parameters of the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
Objectives:
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
- Discuss the Texas nursing practice act (NPA).
- Describe the Texas Board of Nursing rules (BON) and regulations, including BON, rule 217.11.
- Apply standards of nursing practice.
- Locate Texas Board of Nursing position statements.
- Apply principles of nursing ethics.
- Describe professional boundaries.
