Course Description:
This course discusses the overall clinical complexities of chronic respiratory diseases, including etiology, symptomology, and intervention options. Specific chronic respiratory diseases discussed include chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumoconiosis.
Outcomes:
≥ 92% of participants will understand the pathology, management, and optimization of chronic respiratory conditions.
Objectives:
After completing this continuing education course, the participants will be able to meet the following objectives:
- Identify the clinical course and pathology of commonly reported chronic respiratory conditions.
- Evaluate the acceptable standards and protocols for executing clinical plans in chronic respiratory care as they affect assessment, diagnosis, therapy plan, and documentation.
- Analyze the widely accepted standards of primary care for respiratory conditions.
- Outline the different standards of medication plans and supportive care regimens.
- Summarize general recommendations and therapy modifications linked to improved prognosis in chronic care.
