Course Description:
This course discusses a review of the circulation of blood through the heart, an in-depth description of left-side Heart Failure versus right-sided Heart Failure, as well as an examination of biventricular Heart Failure.
Outcomes:
≥ 92% of participants will know the different presentations of chronic Heart Failure.
Objectives:
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the circulation of blood through the healthy heart.
- Explain how left-sided Heart Failure develops.
- Compare and contrast the presentation of left-sided Heart Failure to that of right-sided Heart Failure.
- List the symptoms of Biventricular Heart Failure.
- Summarize how the heart and body attempt to compensate for the failing heart.
