Course Description:
This course discusses cultural competency in healthcare and important elements of culture. Specific definitions, models of care, and inclusive language are also discussed.
Outcomes:
≥ 92% of participants will know how to be culturally competent.
Objectives:
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to complete the following objectives:
- Define cultural competence.
- Identify factors of culture.
- Explain appropriate communication services.
- Compare models of care.
- Define lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or questioning (LGBTQ+) terms.
