Course Description:
This course discusses the microvascular complications of diabetes. Specific microvascular complications, including diabetic nephropathy, diabetic neuropathy, and diabetic retinopathy, are outlined. The epidemiology, pathophysiology, risk factors, signs/symptoms, treatment, and prevention of these complications are discussed.
Outcomes
≥ 92% of participants will know the microvascular complications of diabetes, and the signs/symptoms, risk factors, and treatments for these complications.

After completing this module, the learner will be able to:
- Summarize the microvascular complications of diabetes.
- Identify risk factors associated with developing diabetic microvascular complications.
- Evaluate screening and diagnosis methods of diabetic microvascular complications.
