Course Description: 

The purpose of this activity is to enable nursing assistants to identify and aid in the management of seizures in patients.

Outcomes: 

≥92% of participants will know how to care for a patient with seizures.

Objectives: 

After completing this course, the participant will be able to:

  1. Discuss the cause of seizures.
  2. Identify the types of seizure.
  3. Describe the care of patients with seizures.
  4. Discuss how to react during an active seizure.
  5. Discuss what to report to the nurse.
