Course Description:
This course discusses the number of individuals experiencing serious or life-threatening health issues, the individual and societal costs of serious or life-threatening health issues, how palliative care reduces suffering, how palliative care fosters symptom management, how palliative care improves quality of life, issues related to mitigation of disparities with regard to palliative care, ethical issues associated with palliative care, goals of palliative care, and application of palliative care principles to a clinical case.
Outcomes:

Objectives:
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
