Course Description:
This course provides an overview of the epidemiology, pathogenesis and suspected causes, clinical presentation, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of Acute Flaccid Myelitis (AFM).
Course Outcome:

Objectives:
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to:

- Determine the occurrence and trends in Acute Flaccid Myelitis.
- Describe the pathogenesis of Acute Flaccid Myelitis.
- Identify the clinical manifestations of Acute Flaccid Myelitis.
- Indicate the clinical criteria for a probable versus a confirmed case of Acute Flaccid Myelitis.
- Evaluate the strategies to prevent the spread of Acute Flaccid Myelitis.
