Course Description:
This course discusses the pathophysiology and etiology of pneumonia, diagnostic and treatment guidelines, and prevention methods.
Outcomes:
≥ 92% of participants will know that health professionals are facing an influx of pneumonia cases from pathogens, both new and old, as well as an increasingly vulnerable population. Renewed awareness and knowledge of the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of serious lung infections are essential for health care professionals of all disciplines.
Objectives:
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
- Analyze the signs and symptoms of pneumonia
- Summarize the causes of serious pneumonia cases
- Detect ways to reduce the risk of pneumonia death
- Identify common treatments for pneumonia
- Interpret diverse types of pneumonia
