Course Description:
This course discusses cultural competency in healthcare, elaborating on important fundamental elements of culture. Specific definitions, models of care, and inclusive language are also discussed.
Outcomes

Objectives
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
- Define cultural competence in healthcare.
- Identify shared fundamental factors of culture.
- Summarize culturally linguistically appropriate services.
- Compare and contrast models of care.
- Define lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or questioning (LGBTQ+) terms.
