Course Description:
This course discusses food-borne illness and safe shopping, food preparation, and food storage recommendations.
Course Outcome:
≥ 92% of participants will know what food-borne illness is and how to prevent it.
Objectives:
After completing this continuing education course, the participant will be able to:
- Define foodborne illness.
- Identify three common symptoms of foodborne illness.
- Identify the characteristics of mold.
- Outline safe food shopping and storage practices.
- Identify safe food preparation.
- Outline the caretaker’s role in special diets.
